Strong of its long experience in the creation of exhaust systems for Ducati superbikes and of the experience gained in racing, Officine Italiane Zard launched its first system for the Panigale V2, aiming precisely at those enthusiasts who use their superbike not only on the track but also and especially on the road - and who are therefore looking for something more than just absolute performance.

To meet this demand, Zard has now created a full racing system, consisting of stainless-steel headers and silencers with a titanium body and carbon fibre end caps, paying particular attention to the details and design of the exhaust unit.

The R&D Department and the Zard’s Centro Stile therefore opted to reposition the two silencers, with a new housing under the tail of the Panigale V2 that immediately recalls some iconic Bolognese models, such as the unforgettable 916/996/998 or the more recent 1098/1198. This prompted the Baldichieri d'Asti technicians to completely rethink the path of the hand-welded headers, which now run below the engine. The titanium silencers feature a triangular design that ideally connects to the recesses of the original Ducati tail section and are enhanced by carbon fibre end caps with asymmetric profile.

From a technical perspective, the new positioning of the silencers required delicate fine-tuning by the R&D Team, but the final result lived up to expectations and ensures not only a full and exciting power delivery but also a distinctive sound, typically Ducati but also typically Zard. Speaking of fine tuning, an essential role in achieving improved dynamic behaviour is certainly played by the new impulso by Zard control unit: a racing-derived add-on module designed specifically to unleash the full potential of the Zard system and enhance the performance of the Italian twin-cylinder, which will be supplied with the exhaust system.

The Zard racing full exhaust for Ducati Panigale V2 weighs 7,8 kg, with a weight saving from the OEM system of 5,1 kg, and provides a power increase of 7.50hp. It is confirmed that the system is fully compatible with the OEM rear pegs and license plate holder.

The Zard racing full exhaust for Ducati Panigale V2 will be available to order starting from April 2023.

The complete exhaust will be sold in a special box that will include ECU - “Impulso" by UpMap and air filter.

Maximum performance is guaranteed by fitting every part of the kit.

Approvals

Products available in homologated version are ready to be selected in the list of optionals. Removing the Db killer on homologated exhausts will void the warranty and the homologation. The Ministry of Transport has officially approved Officine Italiane Zard to the production of exhausts with valid approval across the UE territory. Zard exhausts are designed and realized in accordance with high standards of quality and for approved models, they guarantee European directives regarding the approval of exhaust systems (Directive 97/24/CE, EU regulation 134/2014).
The approval number, shown on the supplied relevant certificate, is stamped on every exhaust system and it must be presented to law enforcement in case of a check.
The approved exhaust is treated as the original one and in the event of technical inspection of the motorcycle, it must not be replaced.
